Delay, gap, space. What does space contain concerning to the image instant in its duration? How to portrait time without its documental heritage that images Always produces? An image in a Contemporary Cinema, non referential, its not the imitation of nature anymore, but just a gap. To produce gaps in time is the contemporary nature of the image.It shows the cinema language nature while it "speaks" about time through images.
Time Gap is a short movie about the birth of the image through using the film skin in an 8mm material as a body skin to expose its possibilities through the digital technology. The film was shot in Detroit, the icon of american captalism that is an emperor of decay today.

Ao estimular intensamente a pulsão parcial escopofílica (voyerismo), coloca o observador/espectador no papel do terceiro na cópula de outros. ?Eram três ou quatro môças bem môças e bem gentis/ Com cabelos mui pretos pelas espáduas/ E suas vergonhas tão altas e tão saradinhas/ Que de nós as muito bem olharmos/ Não tínhamos nenhuma vergonha? (As meninas da gare, poema de Oswald de Andrade) Trata-se da apropriação de um trecho da Carta em que Pero Vaz Caminha informa à Coroa portuguesa sobre a descoberta das terras que viriam a compor o Brasil. Nosso Carta a Pero Vaz de Caminha inverte o caminho paródico de Oswald para acentuar a nova relação, a nova configuração geopolítica que não mais se detém sobre o neocolonialismo como alicerce para o pensamento de uma cultura contemporânea, mas sobre uma cultura midiática via web em que todos os lugares e tempos habitam o agora do contato mais íntimo com as realidades e corpos mais distantes. Anulação do espaço e do tempo na relação escopofílica com as imagens, antropofagia pura.

We are all attached to a childish mechanism of individual satisfaction: a compulsive kind of consumism which concerns just in relieving our anxieties, insecurities and desperation. Ironically, the contemporary man, in his advanced knowledge, don't know his spiritual totality, he is not sure of what he wants and so he can not be fully satisfied, feeling empty inside. We live in a Child World in which we all feel like losers.

This technical solution expands the imaginary and sonic field in search of the sensitive and the non-configurable.

The accumulation of violent images coming upon us during the pandemic is responsible for an inhibition of desire, of willpower, of a persistent resilience depleted of strength. In this work, facing the world repercussion of George Floyd's murder, we use an iconic image of the US political movement that expresses a movement of riot and the need to fight the current system. NO JUSTICE NO PEACE is, to us, a way of joining the fight against the violent racist and murderous fascism that devastates the world, an exorcism of images of violence and murders practiced by a society where capital reigns over the right to live.

Here where everything ends is a poetic and experimental short-film, that travels in between documentary and fiction to approach a culture faced with extinction: the indigenous peoples of Brazil. It is particularly about the sharing of knowledge of the Bugio village, and made in a collective way in every stage of 16mm footage, botanical revelation and sound caption.
It tries to reactivate the memories of the origins of the Laklãnõ/Xokleng people, while observing what is lost with the alienation of their knowledge and culture practiced by colonialism.
