Between moving image
performance
and expanded audiovisual practices

IMG_8367_edited_edited.jpg

Duo Strangloscope is formed by audiovisual artists
Cláudia Cárdenas and Rafael Schlichting.

The work moves between film, video, performance and expanded cinema,
exploring analog approaches, material interventions
and ecological ways of working with image.

Working together since 2004,
the duo emerged in 2014.

Since then, films, performances, installations
and curatorial projects have taken shape
through experimentation and collective work.

Creators of Strangloscope —
International Exhibition of Experimental Film, Audio and Performance —
and the Inflamável Festival,
dedicated to analog and film-based work.

Activities include workshops, educational programs
and collaborations across different contexts.

The practice unfolds between gesture, matter and perception.

Between what is seen
and what is imagined.
